Sporicide Plus - Unique Broad Spectrum Healthcare Disinfection
Simply apply, wipe and rinse to conform to latest EN standards

Sporicide Plus is a unique new ready-to-use liquid surface disinfectant from Diversey Care with outstanding bactericidal, yeasticidal, fungicidal, virucidal and sporicidal performance in healthcare. It is effective against Clostridium Difficile within one minute which helps meet the demand for highly effective products with shorter contact or dwell times.

The innovative formulation of Sporicide Plus incorporates patented Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP) technology. Disinfectants that contain AHP are highly effective against a wide range of viruses, spores, yeasts, and fungi found in healthcare settings, including Clostridium difficile (C. diff), MRSA, Norovirus, E. coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

This broad spectrum efficacy has been tested to the latest EN standards by HYCGEN and MikroLab GmbH. Tests passed include EN14476 (virucidal, 30 sec contact), EN1276 (bactericidal, 30 sec contact), EN13697 (yeasticidal, 30 sec contact), EN13727 (bactericidal, 60 sec contact), EN1650 (fungicidal, 60 sec contact), and EN13704 (sporicidal, 60 sec contact). These tests have demonstrated the product can be used with realistic contact or dwell times, meeting demand from the healthcare sector for effective products that deliver rapid disinfection performance without the need for re-application. In addition to its use for surface disinfection, Sporicide Plus is ideal for rapid-response applications such as the removal of blood and body fluid spills.

The active AHP ingredient degrades to oxygen and water alone shortly after use which helps make the product safer to use than chlorine-based products which are suspected of aggravating asthma and forming chlorine compounds in the atmosphere. The absence of the chlorine or volatile organic compounds found in alternative disinfectants also means that Sporicide Plus has a better sustainability profile and is less obtrusive during use which helps make it better suited to areas where patients, visitors or staff are present. The formulation is also less corrosive than chlorine products which means it can be used on a much wider range of washable surfaces in patient areas. During use the product is simply applied, wiped and rinsed away.

Sporicide Plus is available in ready-to-use flip-top or trigger-spray formats. This provides users with the option to select the format that is ideally suited to their specific application requirement. No mixing or preparation is required which means the product can be used immediately whenever required. The product has a shelf life of two years which adds value by protecting the original investment for longer. It is part of the complete range of disinfection, cleaning and hygiene products from Diversey Care and has been added to the range to support Sealed Air’s vision for a better way of life by re-imagining the industries it serves and creating a world that feels, tastes and works better.
